Philanthropy

Inspired by the heart of an Akita, we rescue Akita’s – with honor and integrity – and help place them with wonderful families – in loving memory of Pono and Maile.

Our Mission:

The non-profit is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, and educational purposes, and for the prevention of cruelty of animals specifically, to promote the preservation of life and to ensure quality of life for vulnerable animals, namely Akita’s.

Our Plan:

We will execute this through careful planning and lawful means to include but not limited to advocacy, rescuing animals in danger of euthanasia in animal shelters – or otherwise in immediate danger, re-homing, foster care, adoption, transport, and public education. We will succeed in our efforts by building an advocacy and volunteer network that will allow us to reach more animals and care for them, as well as influencing decision-makers across the southwest.

make_a_wishSince 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From their humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, they’ve evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes. www.wish.org
